The Parents’ Guide to supports parents in giving their teenage children the right advice about next steps at 16 and 18 years old.

All rights reserved. No part of any guide may be reproduced, modified or redistributed in any form, including printing, photocopying or by an information storage and management system, without permission in writing from the publisher or relevant licence.

A personal licence is for individual use only. All rights reserved. No part of the guide may be reproduced, distributed, resold or transmitted in any form or by any means, including photocopying or other electronic or mechanical methods e.g. by email, without the prior written permission of The Parents' Guide to.

School licence:

A school licence permits academic institutions to make the resource available to all parents, carers, staff, students and other interested parties connected to that institution. The institution’s logo is added to the cover to demonstrate the licence has been obtained. The resource may be distributed in either digital or print form and can also be shared via any platform (including websites, intranet sites, google, email, newsletters and social media).

The resource may not be distributed to other institutions including institutions that may belong to the same academy chain or similar. In these instances, a separate school licence must be purchased. Copyright remains with TheParentsGuideto and our logo and website must not be removed from the document.

Meet the founders: Vanessa and Darius first met working in a school. Darius taught sixth formers and parents would catch him after school, asking him what they could do to help their teenage children make the right choices.

 

We looked online to find what resources were available specifically for parents and were surprised that, given how much information there was for children, there was very little guidance for parents. So we decided to write our first guide, and this marked the start of The Parents’ Guide to …​
