The Parents' Guide to NCW 2024
- for National Careers Week and beyond

National Careers Week provides a focus for careers guidance, at an important time in the academic year, helping support young people by bringing together students, employers and advisers through careers events and free resources.
 
#NCW2024 is also a good time for parents to find out more about how their teen can get on track for great career pathways that help them play to their strengths depending on how they learn best, whether that’s after GCSE, sixth form/college or beyond.

It’s National Apprenticeship Week 5-11 February and to celebrate we've created a free guide for parents to learn more about what they are and why they may be a good fit for their teen. This guide includes information on:

  • Types of apprenticeships;

  • Apprenticeship levels and educational routes;

  • The pros and cons of taking an apprenticeship;

  • Where to find an apprenticeship;

  • The top ten apprenticeship employers in England.

The Parents' Guide to Green Careers Week 2023

Green Careers Week is a fantastic new initiative being launched between 6th and 11th November 2023 to provide young people with an insight into careers that specifically protect the environment and will help the UK achieve its pledge of reaching Net Zero by 2050. 

 

Led by National Careers Week in partnership with a wide range of organisations including STEM.org.uk, UK Space Agency, and WWF, Green Careers Week promises to be an inspiring week, with plenty of information on how young people can get actively involved in careers that focus on positive environmental impact and change.
